This two day course will familiarize participants with the skills and techniques needed to obtain diagnostic images. The organizers will begin the course with a lecture reviewing the basic knowledge needed to properly perform and interpret transabdominal and endovaginal ultrasound scans.
This knowledge will then be utilized in the hands on scan lab where participants have the opportunity to practice scanning a variety of models. Faculty supervised scanning builds confidence and aids in the hand-eye coordination necessary to perform and interpret the ultrasound exam. The addition of Doppler to the study will aid in the diagnosis and interpretation of pelvic pathology.
